Front Desk Supervisor
​
Taylorville Family Medicine is a busy family practice and we are seeking a front
office leader with experience managing details of multiple provider schedules, as
well as providing outstanding customer service and oversight of front office staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to front office staff and set the standard for excellent
service.
- Perform all functions of Patient Representative.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching.
- Facilitate communication among providers and management.
- Facilitate and promote interoffice communication.
- Promote the strategic vision of the department and practice.
- Promote opportunity for team involvement in daily responsibilities.
- Facilitate team meetings to promote and ensure clear communication and
positive team morale.
- Meet with individual employees to identify issues and recognize
accomplishments early.
- Communicate staff concerns to management.
- Issue disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Work in collaboration with management for recruiting, application review
and interviewing.
- Handle employee scheduling
- Perform general clerical duties (photocopying, faxing, mailing, emailing, and
filing).
- Perform project-based work as assigned by management.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Directly supervises 3 front office employees.
Three years supervisory experience required and some college education
preferred.
Other Qualifications:
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required for this role.
- This position requires strong data management, excellent written and
verbal communication, the ability to effectively interact with healthcare
professionals and insurance companies, planning, motivating, and decision-making skills.
- Must be able to collaborate with others and work effectively in a team
settings, while recognizing and respecting cultural and other differences.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to organize, prioritize, and
coordinate multiple tasks as well as switch tasks frequently.
- Must be able to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
- Must be professional, flexible, caring, and compassionate and have a
sensitive attitude toward patients, families and colleagues.
- Must be very comfortable and confident using technology and familiarity
with EMR systems.
- Must be able to work independently and creatively.
- Must have ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA and ability to maintain
confidentiality.
- Must have a strong work ethic

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 to $22.00 hr
Expected hours: 38 to 40 per week
